We’re creating an exciting new role for a passionate and ambitious Digital Account Executive in our Cape Town office situated in Cape Quarter, De Waterkant. We run a hybrid work model between working from home and coming into the office. You will be collaborating with a small talented team of 12 people across the following disciplines: client services, strategy, programmatic media buying & planning, social media, design, content creation, ad operations, CRM and data analytics.
As a Digital Account Executive, you will play a vital role in managing and growing our client relationships. Working closely with the Ad Ops and Client Service teams, your responsibilities will include delivering exceptional digital marketing campaigns and ensuring client satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, looking to further develop their skills in becoming a digital client service rock star.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Understand clients’ business goals, objectives, and target audience to develop tailored digital marketing strategies.
- Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, reports, and recommendations based on campaign performance and industry trends.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services to maximise client satisfaction and account growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including design, social media, content, and ad operations, to develop comprehensive digital marketing plans aligned with client objectives.
- Assist in the development of campaign briefs, ensuring clear and concise communication of client expectations and requirements.
- Coordinate campaign execution, ensuring timely delivery to meet client goals by collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to provide strategic recommendations.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and generate regular reports to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct post-campaign analysis and prepare client-facing presentations to showcase results and campaign performance.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance campaign strategies and deliverables.
- A tertiary qualification in marketing, advertising or related field
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience in digital marketing or account management, preferably within an agency
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including Search Engine Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Programmatic Media Buying, Data Analytics & Insights
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Display & Video 360, Search 360, Google Analytics 4
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively both in person and via video-conference
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, team members and clients
- Strong time management and organisational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
